Top Ten Characters I Would Crush On If I Were Also A Fictional Character

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish
1. Harry Potter (Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling) - Harry is actually my first bookish crush. I grew up with the boy who lived. He didn't ask for that lightning scar that ties him to Voldemort but he could have hidden or ran away and let others keep him safe. But he's valiant and brave and loyal and took it upon himself to save the wizarding world.

2. Peeta Mellark (The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins) -  While Katniss was the beacon during the rebellion, could she still be during the aftermath? But Peeta, I believe, has goodness in his heart that could bring Panem out of the darkness.

2. Finnick Odair (The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins) - I did not care much for him during the first time he was introduced. Sure, his cockiness was fun and amusing but it was his love for Mags and Annie Cresta and his being a friend to Katniss in some way that won me over.

3. Cricket Bell (Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins) - I like that Cricket is not the conventional handsome type. He is somewhat off-beat and awkward. He's the boy who gives the girl the moon and the stars. Who could resist that? As cheesy as it may seem, it worked on me. Haha.

4. Dash (Dash and Lily's Book of Dares by Levithan and Cohn) - Dash, is a bit uppity. Or to borrow his term, "persnickity." I was drawn to his introspection. He's sarcastic and a bit of a cynic but he made sense a lot of times. He loves words and books and that's a plus.

5. Charlie (Perks of Being a Wall flower - Charlie is such a sweet heart. And he's intelligent beyond his years. And observant, introspective, and honest. I like that he takes time to really think about the gifts he gives, you know, not random generic stuff like towels or candles. Haha.

6. Kent McFuller (Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver) - Aw, Kent. Kent who dresses weird and draws cartoons. Kent who never gave up on Sam and loved her since they were kids. Kent who stuck around even when Sam started to become a bully and a mean girl and shown him nothing but contempt.

7. Linus (Love and Leftovers by Sarah Tregay) - He's the adorable emo rocker boy. He's not the bad-ass, angry type. In fact he's a goody two shoes, sweet and sensitive musician. The one who writes you mushy love songs.

8. Jonathan Strange (Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norell by Susanna Clarke) - His ambition and talent in magic is absolutely crush worthy. But more so is his love and tireless devotion to his wife, Arabella.

9. Jacob Jankowski ( Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen) - I like that Jacob has strong values. He is honorable, just and compassionate to both humans and animals.

10. Robbie Turner (Atonement by Ian McEwan) - Okay, I haven't really read the book but he still is a literary character. But he was just so crush worthy in the movie adaptation. He is such an upstanding gentleman. (And because he was played by James McAvoy. Hee). Curse you Briony! :)

I am pretty sure you have literary crushes as well and I'd love to hear about them. :)

    1. Sometimes, I can't believe how young Charlie really is, judging from all his thoughts and observations about life.

Finnick is one among the things that really made me love Catching Fire. And I am excited for movie adaptation!

    1. I know right? Suzanne Collins made sure that we'd initially think he's rotten, but then he surprises us.

Thanks for dropping by! I will be checking out your post.:)

  6. Ah. I love your list.

I was going to name Peeta, but tried to pick just one crush per book or series. Ooh, and Charlie was a great choice. I don't know how I could have ever forgotten about him. He was indeed a total sweetheart. Also, Jacob from Water for Elephants. How could I have forgotten about him as well? Sheesh.

Anyhow, great list and thanks for stopping by my blog. (:
